I went to the New Jersey Romance Writers
Conference in Iselin over the weekend. I
stayed at the Woodbridge Hotel. It has changed hands. It is no longer the
Sheraton, but nothing has changed except for the sheets and the pillows.
Although the pillows were okay, they were not as big, puffy or inviting as the
Sheraton’s. Also, the sheets were rough against my skin. Hated that. The food
was the same though. Breakfast was wonderful, and the dinner vegetables were
still undercooked.
Everyone was very nice. I met a few people who
were even nicer than that. Maybe I’ll be blessed enough to see them again
sometime. The seminars were good (they usually are). One seminar didn't have a
whole lot of substance, but the effort was there. I really didn’t learn a whole
lot I didn’t already know, but I left pumped up and ready to write. I intend to
pitch next time. Fingers crossed and lots of affirmations!
There is much to concentrate on now though as I
get ready for my brother’s wedding, two different temporary jobs and writing.
So off I go…
